About Mark McCormick
I am mainly working in oils at this time, but have also worked in pastels, water color and have done some sculpting. Mostly self-taught, I have recently retired after about 35 years in the telecom field and have devolted myself to learning as much as I can about oil painting and specifically plein air painting (painting outdoors).
To that end I have joined two plein air groups (Denver and Tucson). I live in Denver most of the year, but I go down to Tucson in January and stay there until about the end of May (yes, I am a snowbird now). Learning a lot about oil painting from these two groups and I am thoroughly enjoying myself.
